The Honest Waypost is a small, independent travel journal. This page explains, in plain terms, what gets stored on your device and why. No legalese padding.

What we collect

There are no accounts, no logins, and no newsletter sign-ups here, so we do not ask you for personal information. We may keep aggregate, anonymous traffic figures to see which pieces people read.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages. When enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies to measure performance and, if you consent, to personalise the ads you see. We use Google's Consent Mode: until you choose, ad and analytics storage stay switched off by default.

The banner on your first visit lets you Accept all or keep things Necessary only. Choosing necessary-only means any ads shown are non-personalised. Your choice is stored in a single cookie (honest_waypost_consent) for about six months. Clear your cookies to be asked again.

Managing it yourself

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can review Google's own practices in their advertising policy. Changes to this page will simply appear here; there is no list to be removed from.
